Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with labels, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@obsessionyarns.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Refunds and exchanges are not available for pre-orders, custom orders, or yarn that has been wound into a ball.  Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.  Return shipping costs will be at the customers expense.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
If you'd prefer a refund, we will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

 

Variations
Hand dyed yarn will have variations between skeins, dye lots and bases.  Custom sweater quantity orders are available on request.  It is recommended to  alternate skeins when creating larger projects.

As all our yarn is hand dyed, sometimes variations can present when compared the the image on the website.  The greatest care is taken to create a product up to your expectations (and usually higher), but colours can appear differently on different displays.  Please allow for some slight variation.

Care Instructions
Garments created from our yarn should be cleaned according to care instructions provided in the product desctiption to give the best colour retention and longevity.  In general, it is recommended to hand wash all hand dyed yarn in tepid (room temperature) water, and a delicate woolwash.  It should then be laid flat to dry.

 

Cancellations
If you have placed an order in error, please contact us as soon as possible and provided your order has not been packed and shipped, a refund will be provided.
